Shanghai Metrology Association President Wang Lu and Delegation Visit Our Company for Inspection and Exchange

On the afternoon of January 16, Wang Lu, President of the Shanghai Metrology Association; Bai Jinchao, Vice President and Director of the Three Meters (Water, Electricity, Gas) Specialized Committee; and Wang Ruiqing, Section Chief of the Shanghai Water Supply Dispatch and Monitoring Center, led a delegation of over 20 representatives, including personnel from water supply companies, meter manufacturers, and technical institutions, to conduct an in-depth inspection and exchange at Hangzhou Water Meter Co., Ltd. The company's Chairman Liu Jian, Deputy General Managers Xuan Junjie and Xu Lun, warmly received the delegation and accompanied them throughout the visit.

The delegation visited the enterprise exhibition hall and the front lines of smart manufacturing, gaining a comprehensive understanding of Hangzhou Water Meter's systematic planning and phased achievements in areas such as digital transformation, breakthroughs in core technologies, product quality verification, and multi-scenario applications. They placed particular emphasis on the integration and innovation of cutting-edge technologies like artificial intelligence and big data with the traditional water metering sector. President Wang Lu highly commended the company for its long-standing commitment to an innovation-driven development strategy and its proactive role in promoting industrial technological transformation, praising the company's strong sense of responsibility and remarkable accomplishments. During the exchange, he noted that while water, electricity, and gas meters belong to different sectors, they share a core mission and are interconnected within the industrial ecosystem. He emphasized the urgent need to break down barriers, enhance interaction, and pool resources to jointly address the opportunities and challenges in the development of metrology in the new era.

At the symposium, Liu Jian systematically introduced the company's development history and core product portfolio. Addressing the industry-wide challenges such as the electromechanical synchronization faced by NB-IoT non-magnetic water meters in practical applications, Hangzhou Water Meter has innovatively proposed a new technological approach of "camera data settlement + pulse data analysis." Moreover, in water meter data recognition and analysis, the company is actively exploring and applying AI vertical large model technologies specifically tailored for the water metering industry, aiming to fundamentally enhance the reliability and management efficiency of remote data. Additionally, he provided a brief overview of the company's key contributions in utilizing IoT control valves to support refined operational management and the crucial role of high-precision electromagnetic water meters in pipeline leak detection and control systems. Bai Jinchao outlined the annual priorities of the Three Meters Specialized Committee of the Shanghai Metrology Association, sharing achievements in areas such as the development of group standards, promotion of metrological science, improvement of the quality of residential meters, and support for the construction of smart city metrology supervision systems. Both parties exchanged views and engaged in constructive discussions on topics including member services, technical standard coordination, and the co-creation of an industrial ecosystem.

In his concluding remarks, President Wang Lu once again expressed his gratitude to Hangzhou Water Meter for the thoughtful arrangements and valuable insights. He noted that the company's accumulated experience in integrating next-generation information technologies and exploring solutions for complex scenarios offers significant references for the industry's development.
