Renewed and Reinvigorated: Embarking on a New Chapter
On December 18, 2025, the 21st Information Officer Conference of the Water Meter Committee of the China Metrology Association, hosted by Hangzhou Water Meter, was successfully held in Zhuhai, Guangdong.
The conference was attended by over 30 participants, including Luo Xinyuan, Chairman of the Water Meter Committee; Li Hongwei, Secretary-General; Liu Jian, Vice Chairman of the Committee, Director of the Water Meter Network, and Chairman of our company; Zhang Wenjiang, Deputy Secretary-General; Zhang Qing and Zhou Qi, Deputy Secretaries-General and Deputy Directors of the Water Meter Network; Secretary Yu Guangwei; and the newly appointed information officers. The meeting was chaired by Zhang Qing.

Hosted by Hangzhou Water Meter, this conference marks the first information officer meeting since our company fully assumed the operation of the Water Meter Network. The meeting focused on the transformation and upgraded responsibilities of information officers, systematically planning the direction for the next phase of work.
In his opening address, Luo Xinyuan, Chairman of the Water Meter Committee, reviewed the recent work and urged the new team of information officers to focus on three key areas: strengthening responsibilities, improving content quality, and establishing robust long-term mechanisms. Secretary-General Li Hongwei systematically elaborated on the role and core responsibilities of information officers. Deputy Secretary-General Zhang Wenjiang provided detailed explanations on the quality standards and timeliness requirements for information submissions.

At the meeting, Zhou Qi presented the annual work summary and provided an interpretation of the incentive policies for information officers. He comprehensively introduced the platform's functional updates, service expansions, and the achievements made in facilitating industry information exchange over the past year. Additionally, he detailed the new allowance and reward mechanisms for content submissions and business promotion efforts.
Liu Jian delivered the concluding speech and outlined the work direction for the next phase of the Water Meter Network. He emphasized the need to enhance targeted support for key stakeholders, including water meter professionals, upstream and downstream partners, water utility clients, as well as administrative and technical institutions, with the goal of improving the quality and experience of the website's services. He also highlighted the importance of diversifying outreach methods by launching video channels, innovating exhibition and forum formats, conducting interviews with entrepreneurs and experts, and organizing both online and offline salons to boost promotional effectiveness and influence. Additionally, he stressed the critical role of information officers, noting that the prosperity of the platform's ecosystem relies on the active participation of every information officer. He encouraged them to transition from being mere "users" to becoming "partners" in the ecosystem, working together to advance the high-quality development of industry information efforts.

During the meeting, the appointment ceremony for the new term of information officers and the recognition ceremony for outstanding information officers of 2024 were also held.
